Arsenal have reached a loan agreement with Lazio for midfielder Lucas Torreira, Spanish journalist Pedro Almeida claims.
Torreira was deemed surplus to requirements last season, and he was loaned out to Atletico Madrid without the option to buy.
The Uruguayan ended the campaign with a La Liga winner’s medal, but he played just 500 minutes for them in the league.
It is now reported that Torreira will return to the Serie A next season, with Lazio having agreed to sign him on loan.
Lazio have the option to buy him for around €15m. The Gunners will hope that Torreira can make a good impression.
The Gunners are planning multiple exits this summer, and more midfielders could be leaving in the coming days.
There is also uncertainty over the future of Mohamed Elneny, though there are reports suggesting that he could be handed a new deal.
