Arsenal have made contact with the agents of AC Milan attacker Hakan Calhanoglu over a free transfer.
The Gunners are aiming to bolster their attack this summer, and the focus is on the number 10 position.
They are interested in re-signing Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid after his impressive loan stint.
However, the club are looking at alternatives, and football.london claims that Calhanoglu is on their radar.
The Turkey international is widely expected to leave the Rossoneri when his contract expires on June 30.
He has been linked with multiple Premier League sides, but the Gunners appear the most interested in him.
Calhanoglu played a key part in Milan’s return to Champions League football after a gap of seven seasons.
He bagged four goals and 10 assists in the Serie A. Overall, he managed nine goals and 12 assists from 43 appearances.
The 27-year-old is looking for wages of around £80,000-a-week which the Gunners should be able to comfortably afford.
