Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is nearing a move to Roma this summer, football.london claims.
The Switzerland international has been with the Gunners for the past five seasons, but he is widely expected to leave the club.
Earlier this month, it was claimed that the 28-year-old had agreed personal terms with Roma over a five-year contract.
It is now reported that the Giallorossi have reached an agreement with the Gunners over the transfer package.
The Serie A outfit initially offered £12.9m for the midfielder, which was swiftly rejected by the north London giants.
Their second offer of £15m was also snubbed. They have eventually agreed to meet the Gunners’ £17m asking price.
Xhaka is currently leading Switzerland at the European Championships. The Swiss beat Turkey 3-1 in the final group stage game.
They are now facing an anxious wait to find out whether they will make the round of 16 as one of the four best third-ranked teams.
