Arsenal are one of the clubs interested in signing RB Leipzig midfielder Marcel Sabitzer this summer.
The Austrian has been a superb performer for Leipzig over the past seven years, but he is likely to be sold in the near future.
He has turned down an extension, and the club are expected to sell him than lose him for free when his contract expires next summer.
Leipzig are prepared to accept just £15m for the versatile midfielder, and it is claimed that Arsenal, Milan and Roma are interested.
However, Milan could have the advantage in the pursuit with Sabitzer keen on playing Champions League football next term.
The Gunners have not played in the competition for five years, and they don’t have European football next season.
Despite this, the club are planning an ambitious spending spree this summer in order to close the gap on the top four.
They are trailing Milan in the race for Sabitzer, but could yet lure him to the club by offering a more lucrative salary.
