On this week’s Gaon Digital chart in South Korea, two fresh new hit songs debut inside the top ten, while another track rockets to the top tier and a new champion is crowned.

Every week, the Gaon Digital chart lists the most popular and consumed songs in South Korea, based on a system that incorporates sales, streaming, and BGM (background music) (usually used in various forms of media).

The beloved girl combo OH MY GIRL has a new No. 1 this week with their new track “Dun Dun Dance,” which is their first chart-topper. The song debuted at No. 8 on the Gaon Digital list last week, and it has jumped seven spots to No. 1 this week. The all-female act had stalled one rung short of taking over the show before this shift.

With their global smash “Peaches,” which has been climbing the charts for months, Justin Bieber, Daniel Caesar, and Giveon have reached a new high. The song has climbed to No. 2, and while it appears to be on the verge of taking the top spot, next week’s crown will most likely go to BTS’s “Butter,” but more on that in a moment. Brave Girls’ former controller “Rollin’,” which falls to third, swaps places with the Canadian pop star and his partners.

This week’s best start comes from BTS, one of South Korea’s most successful groups of all time. The septet’s new smash “Butter” debuts at No. 4, reintroducing the septet to the top 10, where they have already performed with more than 20 different songs. There’s a significant probability that when the Gaon Digital list refreshes in a week, the cut will be at the very top.
The following four songs all drop one spot, with IU’s “Lilac,” Brave Girls’ “We Ride,” IU’s “Celebrity,” and SG Wannabe’s “Timeless” coming in at Nos. 5, 6, 7, and 8.

Aespa, a still-rising female group, returns to the Gaon Digital chart with their third single, “Next Level,” which has swiftly become the quartet’s largest release to far. The song debuts at No. 9, giving the vocal group their first top ten placement on the crucial chart. In reality, “Next Level” is their first top 40 single.

LABOUM’s “Imagination Plus,” which appears to be the native girl group’s second appearance inside the top tier on the Gaon Digital chart, rounds out the top ten. This period, the cut moves up four spots to No. 10.
