West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice won’t push for a summer exit amid the reported interest from Chelsea.

The England international has been fancied to leave the Hammers in recent seasons, but a deal has failed to materialise.

The Blues explored the possibility of signing him last summer, but they were reluctant to meet the £100m price tag.

The Hammers still value their midfielder at the same price, but reports claim that the Blues could make a fresh move.

According to The Telegraph, Rice remains committed to the Hammers, and won’t force a move away from the club.

He has already rejected two contract offers, but the Hammers are still in a strong position to keep him beyond this summer.

The 22-year-old has three years remaining on his existing deal with the club with the option for another 12 months.

Chelsea are currently focused on sealing the return of striker Romelu Lukaku on a club-record deal from Inter Milan.

It will be interesting to see whether they will also attempt to re-sign Rice, who was in their youth ranks until the age of 14.
