Real Madrid playmaker Eden Hazard is reportedly open to the prospect of rejoining Chelsea during the ongoing transfer window.
The Belgium international spent nine seasons with the Blues between 2012 and 2019 before he made the switch to Madrid.
He has since struggled with numerous injuries, and has been restricted to just 43 appearances for the club in all competitions.
According to The Mirror, Los Blancos are keen to lower their surplus wage bill in order to meet the new La Liga salary cap.
They are prepared to part ways with Hazard. The Belgian believes he could rediscover his form with a return to Stamford Bridge this summer.
It is unclear whether the Blues will make an attempt to re-sign him. Madrid are prepared to cut their losses on the 30-year-old attacker.
They bought him for an initial £103 million and paid a further £20m after winning the La Liga title in 2020. He is now valued at just £43m.
