Following a leaked interview from last week’s PGA Championship, Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau’s dispute appears to be heating up.
Koepka was describing the conditions at Ocean Course during a post-round interview with the Golf Channel when DeChambeau walked behind him in the shot.
Before DeChambeau arrived, Koepka stated, “I didn’t putt well, but I don’t believe any of the guys were going to putt good with this wind.” “It’s quite difficult. I’m not sure what the other guys said; I just found it challenging to read at times.”
DeChambeau and another man approach Koepka at that point, and one of the men appears to murmur something. Before continuing to answer the question, an irritated Koepka closed his eyes.
“I’d lose my train of thought every now and then. After hearing that nonsense, “Before they decided to re-shoot the question, Koepka said.
The video, which was released on social media, was never aired on the Golf Channel.
The rivalry between the two golfers has grown over the years, with Koepka targeting DeChambeau in 2019 with a diatribe over extensive pre-shot preparations. After appearing in ESPN’s Body Issue the following year, DeChambeau mocked Koepka’s physique.
All weekend, Koepka was at the top of the PGA Championship leaderboard, but he finished tied for second with Louis Oosthuizen (4 under) behind winner Phil Mickelson, who became the oldest major victor in history at the age of 50. DeChambeau finished seven strokes behind Koepka at 3 over.
