Manchester United have reportedly ended their interest in signing Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele this summer.
The Frenchman had been fancied to join United on loan last summer, but a deal failed to materialise before the transfer deadline.
Dembele had a relatively injury free 2020/21 season, but he recently suffered a serious knee injury on Euro 2020 duty with France.
The setback is expected to keep him out of action for the rest of the year, and Sport claims that United have ended their pursuit.
Dembele has just 12 months left on his contract with the Catalan giants, and it was recently claimed that he could be sold for £43m.
The Blaugrana are now stuck with Dembele after the setback. They face the prospect of losing the Frenchman for free next summer.
Dembele has been reluctant to extend his contract, but he could change his stance after suffering another long-term injury.
Aside from United, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with the Frenchman. They could explore a cut-price deal in January.
