After Riot Games recently revealed that a new agent will be coming to the famous multiplayer shooter in the near future, Valorant has become a hot topic of discussion in recent days. Although we don’t know when this figure will appear, the tease has already caused a lot of talk and enthusiasm within the community.
Riot’s character producer John Goscicki stated in a recent update blog on the Valorant website that a new Agent will be arriving shortly.
It’s been said that a new character won’t be added to the game for a while since Riot prefers “quality over speed,” which implies it wants to get the new faces to Valorant just right. For the time being, Goscicki stated that this Agent will be released alongside patch 3.0, which has yet to be announced.
In terms of how this new Agent will play, Goscicki claims that it will be more familiar to those who have spent years playing first-person shooters. “This time around, we’re tossing in certain powers that should feel familiar to individuals who’ve spent their life playing standard FPS games,” Goscicki wrote in the update blog, “but with extra components that will make those identifiable skills unique inside our roster.” “This is an Agent whose utility may force you to rely on your gunplay in certain situations.”
So, when can we expect further information from Riot about this new character? That is, after all, the big question right now. One thing to keep in mind is that Riot has announced its participation in Summer Game Fest, which begins next week. As a result, once the event begins, there’s a significant chance we’ll discover more about this new Agent. If that happens, we’ll make sure to keep you up to date on the character right here on ComicBook.com.
