Thummala Narsimha Reddy, a well-known YouTube anchor, journalist, and actor, died of Covid-19 on Monday.
TNR, as he was known, died a few days ago at a private hospital in Hyderabad, where he had been admitted.
He was put in home isolation after testing positive for Covid. After his oxygen level dropped, his family decided to take him to the hospital.
TNR was well-known as a YouTube anchor for his celebrity interviews on the channel “Frankly Speaking.”
He also appeared as a character actor in a few Telugu films. He had previously worked as an assistant to L.B. Sriram, a writer and actor. He appeared in films such as ‘Boni,’ ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri,’ ‘George Reddy,’ ‘Subrahmanyapuram,’ and ‘Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya,’ among others.
TNR’s death was mourned by the Telugu film industry and journalist community. “Shocked to hear that TNR gaaru passed away… have seen few of his interviews and he was the best when it came to his research and ability to get his guests to speak their heart out. Condolences and strength to the family,” actor Nani tweeted.
